A male body was found floating in the water among mangrove trees in Changi on Saturday (July 20).
Responding to queries, the police said they were alerted to a case of unnatural death along a canal near Nicoll Drive at 2.16pm.
The body was retrieved and the man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
According to Shin Min Daily News, a man had been fishing in the vicinity when he noticed the floating corpse among some mangrove trees.
Shocked, he called the police.
The body is believed to have been floating in the water for quite some time before getting stuck among the trees.
Police are investigating the incident.
