The police are looking for a woman to assist with investigations into two cases of public nuisance after she was allegedly seen sitting on the ledge of a Housing Board (HDB) corridor in Chinatown.

The cases were reported at Block 333 Kreta Ayer Road on July 11 and at Block 4 Tanjong Pagar Plaza on July 15, said the police in a statement.

Lianhe Wanbao, which referred to the young woman as a ‘pretty girl’, reported that she had been spotted on the 19th storey of Block 333 Kreta Ayer Road at 7pm that day.

A 15-year-old girl had apparently seen the woman sitting on the ledge of the corridor with her legs hanging outside.

Worried that the woman might jump, the girl informed her father, who tried to advise the woman against doing anything silly.

However, the woman replied calmly: “I am not going to jump, I’m just sitting here to chill.”

The man told her not to do so as it was dangerous and asked her to come down from the ledge.

She complied and then entered the lift — only to do the same thing on the 18th floor.

Worried, the man called the police but the woman disappeared shortly afterwards.
